Kathlyne "Kat" Treviño
Hello! My name is Kat Treviño, and I am proud to serve as CAMP’s Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator. I was born in Grand Junction and grew up in several rural, agricultural communities across Colorado. My childhood was shaped by countless hours spent in the orchards of Western Colorado and the farm fields of the Northeastern plains.
My role involves reaching out to communities to identify and enroll students with a temporary farmworker or seasonal agriculture background into CAMP. I create the workshops and orientations that support students throughout their first year.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Northern Colorado and began my career as a teacher in Weld County, where I worked with first-generation and limited-income high school students, particularly those interested in STEM. For the past eight years, my focus has been on supporting historically disenfranchised students and families in accessing housing, education, and employment opportunities.
Outside of work, I love learning new languages, taking photos, researching new topics, spending time with animals, and being with my family. I’m excited to work with you to harvest an amazing education here at CSU!
