Navigating The Course
Once you join the program, you’ll automatically be added to the TRIO SSS course on Canvas. Think of it as your go-to spot for assignments, helpful links, contact info, and all the important program details. You can also use it to submit your work and keep track of your progress so you never miss a requirement.
Inside the Canvas course, you’ll find everything organized to make your experience easy and stress-free. There are tabs for discussions where you can connect with other students, a place to track your grades and completed assignments, and modules that walk you step by step through what you need to do. It’s designed to help you stay on top of things and make the most of your time in the program. We’re here to support you every step of the way!
Retention Specialist
These sessions are your chance to connect with a dedicated individual who will guide you at CSU. Your retention specialist is your go-to! Meetings are marked complete upon attendance.
Your Retention Specialist will send you an email multiple times a semester, asking you to schedule a meeting.
Each Retention Specialist Meeting assignment has suggested prompts/questions at the bottom of the page to help you feel prepared for these meetings. Consider bringing a couple of questions to ensure we are best supporting you and your time.
Pay attention to the due dates within each assignment; ensure you schedule your meeting with plenty of time.
Engagement Opportunities
Choose from a variety of online or in-person activities designed to help you find community. Workshops and socials are just a few exciting options.
Please allow a one-week processing time between submitting your assignment and it being marked complete.
Each assignment clearly outlines the action needed, so you know exactly what to do. Reading these directions is crucial to ensure you complete the requirement correctly.
