Greetings! My name is Grace Ivins (pronouns she/her), and I’m thrilled to be the CSU McNair Scholars Program Director. I received my BA in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma (OU) in 2017 and my Masters in Statistics at CSU in 2019. I was a McNair Scholar during my undergraduate studies at the OU, and the experience inspired me to make actionable, meaningful, and lasting changes that would afford institutionally marginalized students an equitable opportunity to succeed. Knowing the impact the McNair Program had on my life and the lives of my fellow scholars at OU, I’m excited to see our CSU scholars actualize their power in academic spaces and achieve their dreams.

I’m a big fan of bringing my whole self everywhere I go and into everything I do. My whole self is a loving fighter, single mom, competitive bodybuilder, reader of all things written, and so much more! My two highest priorities are dancing like a maniac and nurturing relationships with all the people I’m blessed to have in my life (at home, work, the grocery store, …).
