About the Program

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO TRAVEL ABROAD?

  • Join an education abroad program available only for AAC students
  • Explore the historical and political climate, educational system, and culture/social richness of Morocco
  • Tour Rabat’s historical sites and surrounding areas
  • Practice beginner Arabic language in classes and in the community
  • Engage with local university students
  • Stay with a Moroccan family and learn a new culture in a homestay experience

 

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS RABAT, MOROCCO?

Morocco is a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. From beaches to mountains to rolling sand dunes against twinkling skies, Morocco is a land of great beauty. Rabat is Morocco’s capital and the second largest city. It offers a combination of the modern and traditional, colorful architecture, fascinating ruins, lovely gardens, and green spaces.

Things to Consider

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are a current AAC participant 
  • You are in good academic and disciplinary standing
  • You have 2.5 minimum GPA
  • Program leader approval

Additional Requirements

You will need to meet with an Education Abroad Coordinator as well as a Financial Aid Coordinator who specializes in financial aid for Education Abroad.

Availability Requirements

As part of this one (1) credit course,
you will be meeting for pre- and post departure classes. 
These meetings afford us time to build community, go over course materials, and best prepare for our trip.  

Class participation and attendance is required. 
Please assure your schedule can accommodate.

If you are interested, you will need to complete the CSU Education Abroad myEdAbroad portal application by the upcoming deadline. By clicking on the button below you will be taken to that application. 

 

When you submit your Education Abroad Scholarship Common Application you are being considered for the scholarships which you are eligible, including the Global Access Award. By clicking on the button below you will be taken to the CSU Education Abroad Financial Aid & Scholarship page. You can find the Scholarships tab on the left, this will take you to the Education Abroad Scholarship Common Application. 

Please note, there is a passport scholarship application that is a separate application.  

Global Access Award (GAA)

When you complete your Education Abroad Scholarship Common Application, based on your eligibility, you are being considered for the GAA.
There is no separate application necessary.

This experience went so smooth by the way the AAC staff had everything well organized and set up scheduled for pre departure and the rest of the trip returning. Having things on schedule and allowing everyone put in their thoughts really made this trip to by great!
