Meet our Amazing Student Staff

The AAC Peer Mentor Coordinator assists AAC Professional staff with the support and training of our Peer Mentors.  They serve as a Peer Mentor’s first point of contact and are deeply committed to the success and development of their peers.

The AAC Peer Mentor program offers a peer-to-peer opportunity for our current AAC participants.  AAC Peer Mentors are committed to being a resource for their peers, building community, and  promoting student success and development.  Peer Mentors are assigned to meet one-on-one with students in various AAC programs.

Ali Ambriz (she/her/hers)

Second Year: Bioengineering

Hi y’all! My name is Ali Ambriz. I’m originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico where you can usually find me playing with my dogs or eating something with green chile on it! On my free time, I like to watch anime, paint, thrift, and make unnecessarily detailed playlists on Spotify! 

I’m involved in several things on campus: I serve on the AAC’s First-Gen Collective Advisory Board as their Outreach & Communications Coordinator and serve as the Director of Marketing & Promotions for the Residence Hall Association under Residential Leadership Programs. Bianca Esparza (she/her/hers)

Third Year: Business Administration

Hello everyone! My name is Bianca Esparza. I am a first-generation, third year transfer student majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. I’m originally from El Paso, Texas but was raised in New Mexico. I moved to Colorado several years ago and have enjoyed it so far! I love to spend time with my family and friends, try out new restaurants, and listen to music. If there is anything I can do to help with your transition to CSU, please let me know! Can’t wait to meet you all!

Hi y’all! I’m super excited in welcoming all of you into the AAC!  

I am a transfer student from a community college, so if you have any questions about your transition feel free to talk to me (: On my free time (which is rare for me haha), I loveee to try out new makeup looks, going shopping, and watching scary movies. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family and doing spontaneous things! If you ever need anything, you know where to find me!

Hello everyone! My name is Lizbeth Humildad Casillas. I go by Liz which is shorter for Lizbeth.  I am a freshmen here at CSU. I am currently undeclared but am thinking of majoring in HDFS. I am from Denver, about an hour from here. For fun I like to go dancing and hangout with my friends. I also liking going razor biking in the mountains. I am the only girl in the family surround by 3 brothers. I identify as a Latina first-generation student.

Hey everyone, my name is Pablo Rosas. I’m a first-generation transfer student from Colorado Mountain College. I’m originally from New Castle which is on the Colorado western slope. I like to go hiking, play games, and invest in the stock market.

Hi Everyone I’m a first-year freshman/first-generation student. I’m originally from El Salvador and later moved to Cedaredge, CO on the Western Slope years ago. It’s where I was raised and call home. I like to play video games or watch my favorite shows, hang out with friends or family, and trying out new things.

Hi y’all! My name is Viviana Retana. I am from Fort Lupton, Colorado. I am a 1st Year and currently undeclared, but very interested in business and fashion. I enjoy working out and playing volleyball. Music is very important to me and spend a lot of time listening to various artists and explore different genres. I love being outdoors and taking in the beautiful scenery Colorado has to offer.
