Hello!  My name is Audrey Herron (she/her), and I am thrilled to join the Academic Advancement Center as a Retention Specialist. I grew up in Southern California and am excited to be closer to nature and experience all four seasons here in Fort Collins.  I received my B.A. in History from UC Santa Barbara in 2013 and later earned my Social Science Teaching Credential by completing the Post-Baccalaureate Credential Program at California State University, Long Beach, in 2019.  I have had the pleasure of working with students of many ages from diverse backgrounds as a public middle and high school History teacher, a summer camp instructor, and a volunteer mentor.  Although I entered the world of education with a passion for teaching history, I fell in love with the supportive role that I played in my students’ lives and became deeply committed to supporting equitable access to education and social justice.  I am honored to now be working with and supporting the AAC community at CSU.   Outside of work, I enjoy camping, hiking, dancing, watching football, and spending time with loved ones and my pup Elmer!
