Karina A. Concepción Nazario serves as Assistant Director for our TRIO SSS program. She was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico and is a proud bilingual educator fluent in both English and Spanish. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning with a specialization in Bilingual Education from the University of Houston, she spent three years teaching in title 1, dual-language elementary schools. She then earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Human Resource Studies from CSU.

Karina is deeply involved in nearly every aspect of our program, from facilitating the SSS course, to marketing, to coordinating most of our events, and supervision. Beyond our department, she is an active member of various university-wide committees.
