Sarah received her Master of Arts in Deaf Education from the University of Northern Colorado. In her previous role as the Associate Director for the Center for Women’s and Gender Equity & Stryker Institute for Leadership Development, she oversaw programs serving underrepresented women in higher education, facilitated leadership development workshops, and mentored students from their arrival at UNC through graduation. She has current and previous experience working with populations similar to those in TRIO Student Support Services and is a proud product of TRIO herself. Her deep commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident through her entire career as well as in her current role advocating for students with marginalized identities.
